The start of the very first blanket of the Blankie Project. I'm hoping to have my part done and in the mail tomorrow. From here it goes to Camrose Alberta to have another stripe done. From there I'm not sure where it will go. Hopefully someone decides to work on it before then :D<div>If you're interested in working on a Blankie please just comment! Thanks.</div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472072346153455938.post-26793860100325609312010-02-10T07:00:00.002-07:002010-02-10T07:06:35.131-07:00<div>So I've decided to take the blankie project in another direction. It seems that the fish blanket might be too complicated to catch anyone's interest either that or its just gonna take too long. So my new plan is to start these three blankets and then send them to someone else to continue and keep doing it in a chain letter style. Once a blanket is done I will donate it to the Edmonton chapter of <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/projectlinuscanada/home">Project Linus Canada</a> So if anyone is interested please comment or e-mail me at heather17jp@gmail.com I will be starting these ASAP.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Blankie #1</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZjYwOOzd5Tic0hSuXVA_Qvuks8ChZ8BPwLJVe7smCEIX07cf9Q1liePxvVttUFSYkmKNrTspEvdO8YHSe3DxKRaqghjH_GPO63YKt8X6a7gxIZNIyCp1u6eSNPmZKTBPQDIgQ827lki1j/s1600-h/garter+stitch.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 219px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZjYwOOzd5Tic0hSuXVA_Qvuks8ChZ8BPwLJVe7smCEIX07cf9Q1liePxvVttUFSYkmKNrTspEvdO8YHSe3DxKRaqghjH_GPO63YKt8X6a7gxIZNIyCp1u6eSNPmZKTBPQDIgQ827lki1j/s320/garter+stitch.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436614726239942450" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Blankie #2</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPOqY69RcMVVEufv_xO1vmqMe3c69CLkVYuxdCxrve5wiT4ZGvP51pzXAOTV6QfmOn454ONOU-b0LgtXu-H82vyCSiQcfmVLsXfEpoPX1u9VJ2-ykkGfSvSUXY2HGY2O691Oz45sz6S_Zx/s1600-h/feather+and+fan.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 225px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPOqY69RcMVVEufv_xO1vmqMe3c69CLkVYuxdCxrve5wiT4ZGvP51pzXAOTV6QfmOn454ONOU-b0LgtXu-H82vyCSiQcfmVLsXfEpoPX1u9VJ2-ykkGfSvSUXY2HGY2O691Oz45sz6S_Zx/s320/feather+and+fan.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436614717174008450" /></a><div style="text-align: center;">Blankie #3</div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8p99XraMktzWIfQ8XfyNhqOE1g0RXuMVQqoO1-kNeIQ-yfewGWkxbtyf18TSk2VIDimxuHpvnPxIxCOiQFYzW5Bizy4Iqx2z544UK7nOc6ym46NWBWf5F3beF_BGEXm0fTh29_hbYG68u/s1600-h/rainbow+throw.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 201px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8p99XraMktzWIfQ8XfyNhqOE1g0RXuMVQqoO1-kNeIQ-yfewGWkxbtyf18TSk2VIDimxuHpvnPxIxCOiQFYzW5Bizy4Iqx2z544UK7nOc6ym46NWBWf5F3beF_BGEXm0fTh29_hbYG68u/s320/rainbow+throw.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5436614709222686450" /></a>All blanket patterns are copywrited by their owners and are not my property.Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472072346153455938.post-74395516701553140242010-02-08T07:18:00.006-07:002010-02-08T07:43:08.103-07:00It's been a while....<div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:georgia;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#3333FF;">So I haven't posted a blog in a while and I swear there's a reason. And with all that I have one fish knitted and he doesn't look right :(<br /><br />Life goes on....<br /><br />Still looking for yarn if anyone's interested.Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472072346153455938.post-10465403689495093982009-06-26T16:40:00.003-06:002009-06-27T10:43:06.949-06:00the newly named 'The Blankie Project'So now I've figured this fish blankie project out....<br />If you are wishing to donate towards this project you can either donate some yarn for some fishes or knit/crochet a fish.<br />Here's the knit recipe on ravelry:<br /><a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/a-recipe-for-fish">http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/a-recipe-for-fish</a><br /><br />Please just let me know.Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472072346153455938.post-55813681627990965032009-06-26T13:38:00.004-06:002009-06-27T10:42:25.087-06:00Fish Blanket? So after I finish the amazingly huge baby blanket I want to make another blanket.<br />This time I'm going to attempt the tesselating fish blanket that is very popular online. I'm using the recipe for fish off of Ravelry and then going to crochet them all together.<br />This is normally a stash buster for others but considering how long I've been knitting I don't have a stash to bust. So here comes the plea...<br />If you have left over yarn that you are wanting to give away, I am willing to take it. I'm going to knit as many fish as I get yarn for. So this might end up with more than one blanket if everyone is generous or it might be a pretty tiny baby blanket. We'll see.<br />I will be donating them to children's charities looking for blankets.<br />Anyone wanting to recommended a charity please just comment and let me know.<br />Here's some examples of the blanket.... If you want more just google "fish blanket" and you'll find tons.<br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 229px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351724608572173730" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP_xludtnUgGzTv_zXKaSjcI7RoEatY0_QYinkoe9C_s7CRnJrfZBtONMVxCxQWb5zyn7-9R5lz2X5xx2lLe50ak_i-K42ACAc3lWtvo06okQfKyOvdTWlQgFbqBEtR0U71UnZsqSUtans/s320/web1-1.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 260px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351724604773556834" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhfFSLKUbYO2S7vG47EbujslolgQ_znDTpW6z7p8AWW0dr52HcZIK2TpYG_9fU9ynw7JS_FgFHZJRvb2Ije8qV69_uFWBXY3I8Rc8WW2jOQ1fQmT8iG_old1bFZFavPp-41QounSEumxusY/s320/fish_blanket.jpg" /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkUPwmE-FY0jl_GQr9tsOES9KNHQmpvO6LOInJcw8XyGk-7GNHbzO_2B5gpPlUmvP7IkAcBw8es8SuHoZbcUP-EFh14cnxmEx7z3MAfIkyXCZwWhdvO5N6W0MfgR6GvlQ07tV128-5GtqF/s1600-h/fish.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5351724601553934818" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkUPwmE-FY0jl_GQr9tsOES9KNHQmpvO6LOInJcw8XyGk-7GNHbzO_2B5gpPlUmvP7IkAcBw8es8SuHoZbcUP-EFh14cnxmEx7z3MAfIkyXCZwWhdvO5N6W0MfgR6GvlQ07tV128-5GtqF/s320/fish.jpg" /></a></div></div>Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4472072346153455938.post-18211266949733131682009-05-16T16:31:00.002-06:002009-05-16T16:36:34.657-06:00Very First PostSo here is the first post....<br />I'm sitting at home feel like a bag of poo and watching a Paranormal State marathon. The season finale is on A&E on Monday. Sad to see it go for the season but really excited, looks like a good one.<br />I've been busy working on a baby blanket for a baby niece or nephew who is due in September. I'm getting excited, I already love my niece to bits so I hope that I'll love this child just as much (I know I will). This blanket is going to be premo-warm. Thick Walmart wool.<br />I'm planning a wedding right now, trying to figure this out as I've never planned a wedding before (obviously). I'm getting married the summer of 2010. Yay!<br />I bought a kit to spin some roving with a viking spindle, I've been staring at it for months and just haven't gotten around to it. I'm trying to keep my knitting to one project at a time. Which has been hard after seeing the T-shirt Yarn forum on Ravelry. Darn!<br />I sell Stampin' Up! and haven't really had a whole lot going on with it at the moment but I really enjoy using it and sharing it with other people.<br />This is me in short.Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07467675716254925200noreply@blogger.com0
