Lots to catch up on

So here's the first blanket as of right now. Camrosegirl got her strip done and sent it on to Nikki4 whose working on it right now. When she's done we'll get the next picture up here.

And here's the second blanket ready to be sent on to Camrosegirl. She'll do the second stripe again. I really love this pattern and some day I'll make one for myself :D

And I went through some changes since the last post. I used to have my hair done like this and now....

This is my new hair. I absolutely love it, just funky enough for me but not too funky that I'll get in trouble at work :D It'll look different every time I style it and that's so cool. Definitely won't get bored of it any time soon.

The Start

Ta Da! The start of the very first blanket of the Blankie Project. I'm hoping to have my part done and in the mail tomorrow. From here it goes to Camrose Alberta to have another stripe done. From there I'm not sure where it will go. Hopefully someone decides to work on it before then :D
If you're interested in working on a Blankie please just comment! Thanks.

So I've decided to take the blankie project in another direction. It seems that the fish blanket might be too complicated to catch anyone's interest either that or its just gonna take too long. So my new plan is to start these three blankets and then send them to someone else to continue and keep doing it in a chain letter style. Once a blanket is done I will donate it to the Edmonton chapter of Project Linus Canada So if anyone is interested please comment or e-mail me at heather17jp@gmail.com I will be starting these ASAP.
Blankie #1
Blankie #2
Blankie #3
All blanket patterns are copywrited by their owners and are not my property.

It's been a while....

So I haven't posted a blog in a while and I swear there's a reason. Last time I posted I was working on the blankie project. I still am but I had to increase my stash just to accomplish this so its been pretty slow going. Not to mention I had this huge baby blanket on the go....
I moved out to a farm... and by move I mean my entire house...
And on top of that I've been busy knitting other projects. I finished that massive baby blanket, knit a BSJ for the same baby, a neckerchief and have started some French Press Felted Slippers. But considering the amount of yarn I received for my birthday you can rest assure there will be many more fish in the future. Although I don't know how my in-laws will feel about that :D
I'm also busy planning my wedding.... I've been a busy little girl :D
Have a good knitting day!

Progress?

Well my life has had a lot of progress but not so much for the Blankie Project...

I have moved my house and all my belongings but am living in a camper.

I started a new job last week.

My parent's 25th wedding anniversary is this weekend.

Lots going on. And with all that I have one fish knitted and he doesn't look right :(

Life goes on....

Still looking for yarn if anyone's interested.

the newly named 'The Blankie Project'

So now I've figured this fish blankie project out....
If you are wishing to donate towards this project you can either donate some yarn for some fishes or knit/crochet a fish.
Here's the knit recipe on ravelry:

Please just let me know.

Fish Blanket?

So after I finish the amazingly huge baby blanket I want to make another blanket.
This time I'm going to attempt the tesselating fish blanket that is very popular online. I'm using the recipe for fish off of Ravelry and then going to crochet them all together.
This is normally a stash buster for others but considering how long I've been knitting I don't have a stash to bust. So here comes the plea...
If you have left over yarn that you are wanting to give away, I am willing to take it. I'm going to knit as many fish as I get yarn for. So this might end up with more than one blanket if everyone is generous or it might be a pretty tiny baby blanket. We'll see.
I will be donating them to children's charities looking for blankets.
Anyone wanting to recommended a charity please just comment and let me know.
Here's some examples of the blanket.... If you want more just google "fish blanket" and you'll find tons.

Very First Post

So here is the first post....
I'm sitting at home feel like a bag of poo and watching a Paranormal State marathon. The season finale is on A&E on Monday. Sad to see it go for the season but really excited, looks like a good one.
I've been busy working on a baby blanket for a baby niece or nephew who is due in September. I'm getting excited, I already love my niece to bits so I hope that I'll love this child just as much (I know I will). This blanket is going to be premo-warm. Thick Walmart wool.
I'm planning a wedding right now, trying to figure this out as I've never planned a wedding before (obviously). I'm getting married the summer of 2010. Yay!
I bought a kit to spin some roving with a viking spindle, I've been staring at it for months and just haven't gotten around to it. I'm trying to keep my knitting to one project at a time. Which has been hard after seeing the T-shirt Yarn forum on Ravelry. Darn!
I sell Stampin' Up! and haven't really had a whole lot going on with it at the moment but I really enjoy using it and sharing it with other people.
This is me in short.
